Have you ever felt the start of a cold and had someone give you advice on how to treat it that sounded absolutely crazy? Perhaps an old wives tale of how to get better quickly? Some of the most hilarious advice I’ve ever gotten has come in Spanish. Curious about these interesting remedies for a teacher cold? Read on!
Spanish Teacher Advice for Getting Over a Cold:
– The perfect drink! Apple cider vinegar, honey, cinnamon, shot of whiskey, & hot water
– Hydration and rest (Rest? Teacher brain does not compute…)
– Lots and lots of water (How much is too much??)
– Rub Vicks on the bottom of you feet, then put on your socks
-My Spanish señora would always say “ponte una bufanda nena.”
So the next time you’re feeling the sniffles, try out some of these magic tricks to feel better. Believe it or not, I now use the Vicks like crazy with my own kiddos 😉 Got any more tricks up your sleeve? Drop me a line on Instagram or Facebook.
