Delete the Stress of Reviewing for Spanish Exams

May 15, 2024 No Comments

Reviewing for semester exams can be so exhausting for the teacher. We’ve already taught the unit, given examples, and used up our extra practice worksheets. But then our students get nervous about exams and want more practice. And I don’t know about you, but by the end of a long school year, my brain is running on fumes and it’s a struggle to come up with new review materials, especially in a variety of formats. So I’ve created a “bag of tricks” for you to use to get your students ready for final exams! Read on to find out!

1. Speaking Task Cards

Are you looking to teach your students the basics in Spanish? or to review for a Spanish 1 exam? Looking for an interactive speaking and writing activity? Then don’t miss these speaking task cards! Each interpersonal speaking task card & writing activity contains a question relating to Spanish 1 questions. There are 24 different cards/questions in total. This FREEBIE Spanish activity is ready to print, cut, and pass out or assign digitally!

2. Guided notes

Looking for a streamlined way to introduce your Spanish students to the Super 7 high frequency verbs? These Spanish guided notes activities include notes sheets with the super 7 verbs in the present tense. Students then match English to Spanish sentences. An easy introduction, review of the Spanish high frequency verbs, or pop up grammar. The teacher answer key makes it a breeze to go through the guided notes with students either out loud or on the overhead.

3. Practice activities that are input focused

Are your Spanish students familiar with the Super 7 high frequency verbs but need some additional practice? This comprehensive review packet covers the Super 7 verbs in present tense Spanish. Activities include guided notes, input activities, true/false, read & draw, logical/illogical, & open-ended questions.

4. Grammar Review

Do you need a review packet of Spanish 1? This comprehensive review packet covers vocabulary and grammar from all of Spanish 1 including the Super 7 verbs. Each grammar topic has a page of guided notes and a page of activities for extra practice.

Activities include input activities, true/false, read & draw, logical/illogical, matching, writing, & open-ended questions. The answer key is included for teachers to review verbally with their Spanish students or to post for students to check on their own.

Do you need a review packet of Spanish 2? This comprehensive review packet covers vocabulary and grammar from all of Spanish 2 including the Super 7 verbs. Each grammar topic has a page of guided notes and a page of activities for extra practice.

Activities include input activities, true/false, read & draw, logical/illogical, matching, & more. The answer key is included for teachers to review verbally with their Spanish students or to post for students to check on their own.

With these practice activities for speaking, reading, and grammar, your students will be prepared for the Spanish exams. And you won’t be stressed trying to make up new review materials in addition to creating the exam and grading them. Looking for more? Check out all my review materials here.
