Are you looking to teach your students the basics in Spanish? Looking for an interactive speaking and writing activity? Then don’t miss these speaking task cards! They will get your students speaking & writing in Spanish.
The speaking task cards:
Each interpersonal speaking task card contains a question relating to a topic in Spanish 1 or 2. Pass them out to your class, get your students up & out of their desks, and let them quiz each other. A sentence starter is at the bottom of each card in case their partner has trouble forming their response. I love this because it allows my students to work more independently without me interfering. This activity is a great review before an assessment.
The writing worksheets:
After the students have practiced the questions with their classmates (and seen those sentence starters to help with their responses), check for comprehension with the writing worksheets. The same questions are included so you can see if they mastered the material. You might also use these as an assessment.
Options for using these task cards:
Option 1: Quiz-Quiz-Trade
Option 2: Post the cards on the walls around the rooms. Students work in pairs to visit each card and each answer the question.
Option 3: The teacher can use these questions as an assessment.
Option 4: Digital Students should record their conversations and submit the recording digitally.
Option 5 Weekend chat: This set of Spanish task cards will get your students chatting about what they did over the weekend.
I know you will love using these task cards as much as I do! It is so fun to sit back and listen to my students speaking in Spanish and helping one another. And there are so many topics to choose from: school, food, family, house, shopping, accidents, and more! Click here to check them all out. Want to test drive a freebie version to see how they work?
