August 29, 2023 No Comments

Wondering how to give your students input in Spanish but also check for comprehension quickly? Then you will love these read & draw activities for the Super 7 high frequency verbs. (This collection of high frequency verbs was created by Dr. Terry Waltz.) This is such a simple way to give your students more Spanish plus they LOVE having the chance to express themselves artistically. Read on to find out how I use read & draw activities in my classroom and download an example worksheet on the Super 7.

1. Assign in class or for homework

This is a great in class assignment when students need a little bit of quiet time or it can be a great sub plan. You can also easily assign it for homework either on paper or digitally.

2. So easy to grade!

All you have to do is check to make sure that the colors and drawings are correct. One quick look will let you know if your students are on track. Students can even check their work with a partner once they’re done to make sure they have the same answers.

3. Create a gallery walk

After the students are finished, they leave their work on their desk and then walk the room to appreciate their classmates work. (Major shout outs go to your most artistic students!). You can even use your coolest artwork as a student model for the rest of the class to check their answers.

A quick way to give your students more exposure to the Super 7 verbs, this activity will give you peace of mind while not drowning you in grading. And since you’re focusing on those high frequency verbs, you can use this activity any time throughout the year. Ready to try it out? This freebie on the Super 7 will get you started.
