Have You Heard About my Favorite Circumlocution Game for Spanish class?

Circumlocution games are the most fun way to create guessing games while keeping your students thinking and speaking in Spanish. If you love Taboo and/or Catchphrase you know what I’m talking about! So I just had to create games for each chapter I teach. (Check out the details here for a step by step guide for creating your own circumlocution game.) Curious to try it out with a freebie? Read on!

I am such a believer in these games that I offer this one for free on my TpT shop so you can try it out with your Spanish students. The vocabulary includes infinitives for answering the question ¿Qué te gusta hacer?  So the answers include Spanish vocabulary like bailar, leer, escuchar música, nadar

Students play with partners and quiz each other on the words using circumlocution skills. So partner one reads a clue like “Una actividad en la clase de arte” and player two needs to guess “dibujar.” Each partner has their own set of clues and answers so they can play without much input from the teacher.

Ready to play with your students? Give it a try with this free circumlocution game for infinitives.
