Are you looking for a fun activity for your creative students that gives them reading input AND is suuuuper easy to grade? Then you need to try a glyph! Follow the 3 easy steps below to create some awesome glyph activities for your class! (Or check out these ready to go glyphs to simplify your planning).
Step 1- Identify key vocabulary

Step 2- Find pictures for students to color

Step 3- Write your clues
Create 10 statements that are logical/illogical. Students color the picture based on their answers.

I like to walk around the room as students complete the activity. If I see something in the wrong color, I stop and check in with that student to see what they misunderstood. Another option is for students to compare their drawings with a partner’s after they’re done. Interested in simplifying your lesson planning? Check out these ready to go glyphs. I created one for every chapter I teach: school, food, house, community, sports, family, clothes, daily routine, & accidents.
