Super Spanish Sub Plans (Minus the Photocopies)

February 21, 2024 No Comments

Taking a day off from school is typically more stressful & more work than going in to tech. Am I right?! Trying to set up sub plans, especially if it’s an emergency is time consuming and often busy work for students that we then have to collect and grade. What a nightmare. But…. What if you get a ready to go sub plan set for each quarter of the school Year. So no matter when you had to take off, you’d just have to click a button. Would that be a game changer and a de-stressor? Read on to find out how I took the stress out of sub plans.

Sub plans for every quarter:

These sub plans have been a life saver! I made plans for every quarter and also for the super 7 verbs. So I know my students are working on quality reading and writing activities that will build their skills as opposed to just busy work.

Check them out right here.

Step by step guide to getting your sub plans ready:

1. Create seasonal folders in Google drive. Label them “quarter 1” “quarter 2” etc.

2. Upload the sub plans to the correct folders.

3. Change share settings to “anyone can view” and copy the link.

4. Have your “share links” handy. Save them to a Google doc for quick reference so you can share them with your students.  Pro tip, create a tiny url in case you have to share directly with the sub. They can write it on the board easily. Make these links once and you can use them year after year.

5.  Create a new Google folder for students to submit work. Or direct them to submit it electronically how they would normally, like through your school’s website.

6. Take a day off without stressing about sub plans!

You are going to totally thank yourself when you have emergency sub plan ready to go the next time you have to take a day off. And if you don’t need a sub plan, you have lesson plans ready go to to give yourself a break! Check them out here.
