If you could go back in time and talk to your high-school self, what would you say? What advice would you give? What cautions of warnings? Read on to find out about the best pieces of advice teachers can offer their students.
- Don’t sweat the small stuff. A year from now no one will remember that “one time you dropped your books in the stairwell.”
- It is ok to make mistakes. Now is the time to learn from them! It is so much easier then when you’re an adult.
- Try new things and meet new people. Just because you’re “the football guy” doesn’t mean that you also can’t try out for the school play. Take an art class.
- Adiós bullies….You’ll never see the vast majority of these people again.
- Be yourself. You have special talents and qualities that make you unique. Let those gifts shine.
- No one is perfect. Even the class president, basketball captain, and head cheerleader struggle. They’re all just as self conscious as you are.
